Human growth hormone and IGF-1 have been shown to play a significant role in:

•Conversion of body fat to muscle mass
•Growth of all tissues
•Energy level
•Tissue repair
•Whole body healing
•Cell replacement
•Bone strength
•Brain function
•Sexual function
•Organ health and integrity
•Enzyme production
•Integrity of hair, nails, skin and vital organs

Basically, anything that goes on in your body is in some way tied to HGH. This is why HGH is often called the "fountain of youth". Elevated HGH levels are what make you feel young again.

  1. Yes but only until the "ends of your bones" close. After that time HGH does not make you taller. I don't recall how old you have to be before your bones close but sex hormones cause this effect.

HGH causes "glucose intolerance" because HGH and Insulin suppress each other. So if you take HGH you risk having a form of Diabetes. So you can get infections, eye damage, kidney damage, loss of sensation in your feet and hands and other problems if you do this for years and years. Once you quit using HGH the benefits stop.

I am not sure if injecting HGH will make your pituitary gland stop making its own HGH.

HGH in high doses causes "Acromegaly". This disease causes parts of your face, internal organs, soft body parts and other bits of you to keep growing. Your nose and ears will get bigger. Google "Andre the Giant" for more details.

HGH is VERY EXPENSIVE. You have to inject into yourself because it is a polypeptide, a protein. A Doctor can prescribe it. They probably won't and your insurance won't pay for it unless you have a problem. HGH is very strong medicine.

HGH used to be taken from dead people. Some people who used the old school HGH got brain diseases. Today HGH is grown in Yeast.

You can take "growth hormone releasers". These chemicals make your pituitary gland release more HGH. The two most common are the amino acids Arginine and Ornithine. If you have ever had a cold sore or herpes ulcer they often will flare up if you use these aminos.

I messed with HGH releasers in my twenties. They did not work too well. I did get mouth ulcers.

I wouldn't mess with the stuff.... but to each their own.
