Question by Caesarion: Should I start buying organic milk?I've heard some bad things about regular cow's milk commonly sold at most stores...like most other produce, growth hormone is used to create more product for less price.
So anyway, I was wondering if it would be worth it to start buying organic milk. The only problem is, it's very expensive. I can get regular milk for about $ 1.80 a gallon, while the organic milk runs for around $ 7 a gallon. Wow.
So what are your opinions? Should I buy into the skepticism about the regular milk, or just stick with it since I've been drinking it my whole life? I mean, just because cow's are injected with growth hormones doesn't necessarily mean that they are at a level high enough in the milk to harm the consumers of it. What do you think?
I do weight training and soy products aren't good for males trying to put on muscle. Screws up the good hormones.
As far as it lasting longer, that's never a problem for me, I down a gallon of milk a week. I have to try to stop drinking it so much so that I don't have to go to the market more than once a week.
