Eat more! Don't be fooled because the article is referring to more of healthy, low-fat foods rather than junk food. Junk food can range from burgers to those cookies that you always bought! Adding a lot of vegetables and fruits to your diet will help you. Also, drinking bouillon, a Haitian soup, made with filtered water will help you feel full.

BasketballExercise every day! This could be the most difficult step to follow. But what you can do is actually start slowly then steady increase the amount of exercise. For example, today you will walk for 10 minutes, repeat this for the whole week. For the next week, double your workload. You may get leaner that way! The important thing is to get your heart rate up and start, now!
Feed your temptations once in a while. Go ahead and have that donut or slice of pizza, but before you do, drink a few glasses of water and eat a bowl of raw veggies such as cucumbers, celery, carrots, and tomatoes. They will fill you up and you will have very little room to eat the "junk" food.

Scrumptious!Consume things that have no calories. There are two things you eat and drink that contain no calories: water and fiber. The more of these you get into your diet, the better off you will be. For example, you can eat a pound of mixed salad greens with assorted raw vegetables (carrots, red cabbage, celery, broccoli, onion, etc.) with a low or no-calorie salad dressing and only have eaten 100-150 calories. This is because of the high water and fiber content of the salad and low calorie dressing. Also, eat lots of celery. It has only 8 calories, but amazingly, it takes more than 8 calories to digest it. So, you actually BURN calories by eating celery! It's not much, about 2 calories per 8 inch stalk, but it sure doesn't hurt.
Avoid sodas as much as possible. Instead, drink flavored water or unsweetened iced tea.
Take broth-based soups. They are a relatively low in calories. A commerically-available ready to eat "chicken and stars" soup may only have 80 calories for 1 serving, much less than diet "meal shakes" or nutrition bars.

These may help you.Practice good eating habits. Always use utensils and sit at the table. This stops you from eating precariously. Eating with your hands will mean that you take in more food in one scoop. Don't forget to eat slowly and stop when you're full. Similar to the above step, if you can't stop, drink up! Maybe your body is thirsty and hungry no more! Also, you can do any other chores (other than eating). For instance, go shopping, or play badminton with your friend, or play games on the computer!
Spread out your diet! Eat more small chunks of meals, rather than 3 big meals. If you eat 100-150 calories or so every two hours, your body stays in a higher-metabolism digesting mode. This allows you to burn more calories than eating just 3 meals a day.[1]

Does hgh have an effect on muscle growth?

Question by Confused Guy: Does hgh have an effect on muscle growth?
I've recently started taking a human growth hormone releasers, Genf20 that a friend gave me and was wondering how its going to affect me. I'm kind of a health freak so I go to the gym on a frequent basis. My goal is to gain weight, muscle not fat. I'm in good same now but want to buff up a little more. Is the hgh going to affect this is anyway and if yes how?

Best answer:

Answer by ??rk
Medical studies have proven that positive gains occur only while Growth Hormone is being secreted. HGH significantly increases the effects of exercise and muscle building, including energy, muscle strength, stamina and endurance. Studies at St. Thomas Hospital in London showed that "there is a tremendous increase in muscles and you won't believe how hard they are." L. Cass Terry, M.D. also found that Growth Hormone, "made a tremendous difference in my fat composition and body configuration in less than two months."

Originally, they give it to people with AIDS so that they can build lean muscle better. But they became hesitant because it lowered their amount of body fat on their arms and legs. They still use it in treatment now so the muscle gain must have outweighed the fat loss.

I'm guessing it will help build muscle very well.

Bodybuilders are quoted on Bodybuilding.com saying that they used it. I guess they wouldn't bother if it wasn't beneficial

Some people who have taken HGH have experienced a rejuvenation of organs and glands. The HGH increases muscle and helps metabolize fat. The heart being a muscle will no doubt improve. Also, Dr. Keith Kelly found that the thymus gland, a vital gland in our immune system, shrinks with age and normalizes back to normal size with HGH supplementation. (Found this random article about your heart and liver). I'll let you decide if it's bad or not. They're selling it on the site, so i'm guessing it's bias.

I've heard people say it's bad for you. Prolly only when you use it a lot.

Did anyone know that eating Squid can make you grow taller?

Question by God'sStrength: Did anyone know that eating Squid can make you grow taller?
There's something in it that stimulates the HGH (Human Growth Hormone) in the body, it's how my uncle got taller in his last years of growing. He shot up to 6'4, and he was about 5'10 at the age of 20. They say that you can always trigger your HGH in accordance with the pituitary gland no matter what your age. However, I don't know about eating squid. I believe that's right nasty. It's Octopus basically, and that's just gross. I'm 5'9 and happy with my height. I just wanted know if anyone knew about this as a means to growing taller? Basketball players know about this too, who like to get taller.

Will l-arginine and l-lysine help me grow taller?

Question by Alex: Will l-arginine and l-lysine help me grow taller?
I'm a 16 year old male, and I am very self conscious about my height because I'm only 5'5. I read somewhere that taking l-arginine combined with l-lysine before bed will boost HGH (Human Growth Hormone) levels by up to 700%.

I am aware that HGH is the hormone produced by the pituitary gland, and it's responsible for the growth of skeletal muscles and the long bones of the body. Obviously my growth plates haven't closed because I'm only 16, so does anyone know if taking l-arginine (2g) l-lysine (1g) every night before bed will eventually help me grow in the long run?

If not, what are some ways to increase my height? My genes are not great since my mom is 5'3 and my dad is 5'7. However, every male in my mom's side of the family is very tall. Also, I've always been short, and I think maybe my body is just developing late because I'll be 17 in a couple months and I just barely started to grow a little bit of armpit hair.

Any thoughts and intelligent responses would be greatly appreciated.

What are the potential side effects of using human growth hormone?

Question by frogster99: What are the potential side effects of using human growth hormone?

Best answer:

Answer by aestatisa
Quoted from the source cited below:

"Side effects in adults may include extreme aggression, malaise, dry mouth. There is theoretical concern that GH treatment may increase the risks of diabetes, especially in those with other predispositions treated with higher doses. It is pointed out, however, that diabetes is a disease that develops over perhaps 30 or 40 years of poor eating habits, and the most likely cause of diabetes is the poor nutrition which the patient had prior to the use of growth hormone. One survey of adults who had been treated with replacement cadaver GH (which has not been used anywhere in the world, since 1985) during childhood showed a mildly increased incidence of colon cancer, but linkage with the GH treatment was not established"

Quoted from the second source, which lists additional side effects:

"Some of the side effects reportedly seen in previously healthy mature patients after taking HGH include:

* Edema (retention of fluids) in extremities
* Arthralgia (joint pain)
* Carpal tunnel syndrome
* Hypertension
* Diabetes and other glucose metabolism imbalances
* Gynecomastia (enlargement of male mammary glands)

Chronic use of HGH is not well studied, except when used in children for acute growth deficiencies. A long term increase in colon cancer and Hodgkin's Disease has been observed in these cases."

The third source contains additional symptoms, as well, though notes that they are, overall, incredibly rare.

I have had amenorrhea(lack of period) for about a year and a half. I have read that HGH (human growth hormone) treatments can help with a wide variety of health issues ie. high blood pressure, bone density, menstrual cycles, hair skin and nails. It can help with many concerns...and I've actually been recently researching HGH supplements for an MD who's office I work at. (I'm a natural health practitioner). LOTS of them out there...some good, some over the top with questionable ingredients. I've found one so far that looks good...you are more than welcome to email me for the name as not sure how that works on this site. Otherwise start doing some research and read ingredients and what they do etc. There are also herbs that work to bring on periods as well Not sure what you've tried so far...but another safe option.

HGH only works if your have a dificiency in that hormone, and then only if your growth plates are still "open". At 19, there's little chance of that, plus your height isn't short enough to indicate that you ever had a dificiency. My guess is that your shorter height is the result of your other health problems. Sorry, but HGH treatment isn't likely to help you.

HGH Side Effects
HGH side effects are a concern for anyone looking at hormone therapy to slow down or reverse the aging process. The side effects of HGH use can be scary and researchers are still working on the optimal dosage to reduce adverse reactions and enhance results. As with any drug each person must weigh the benefits against the drawbacks and decide if the end justifies the means.

HGH side effects range from the minor joint pain and some fluid retention to the more serious high blood pressure and abnormal bone and cartilage growth. Most medicinal use of HGH focuses on short-term correction of a hormonal imbalance. General growth hormone side effects from this type of use tend to be fluid retention, joint pain, a reversible insulin resistance, and some joint swelling.

HGH for anti-aging or "plastic surgery in a bottle" use leads to more long-term complications such as high blood pressure, more serious fluid retention, chronic joint pain and swelling, and some facial bone growth. Long-term abuse, as seen in athletic use, can lead to more pronounced, and sometimes deadly, side effects such as irregular heart rhythms, increased risk of diabetes, joint and facial deformities, and a shut down of the pituitary glands.

HGH side effects can be reduced by limiting the length of time the hormone is used. Lowering the dosage of human growth hormone can also reduce the number and severity of these reactions. Human growth hormone is a drug. The introduction of any foreign substance, even if your body produces some naturally, will trigger reactions by the body. These reactions cause the effects that we see with any drug. HGH side effects also come from the extra growth hormone in the body along with what is already produced by the pituitary glands.

Some of the more serious side effects of HGH come from the abuse of the hormone. This abuse can come in the form of taking too much of the substance or taking it for too long. Milder versions of these problems can occur from the abuse of supplemental forms of HGH sold over-the-counter.

Your body needs time to return to a normal state of function. If you take more than the suggested dosage for a long period of time you will see complications arise from this abuse. You liver has to work harder to process this externally introduced HGH running through your blood. This could lead to liver stress, and ultimately liver damage. Your body may recognize a higher level of HGH in the bloodstream and stop producing as much for itself. If this goes on long enough the pituitary glands begin to shut down.

HGH side effects can come from any HGH use. Minimizing the side effects by lower the dosage and the length of time on the growth hormone can be helpful. Each person must weigh the benefits against the possibilities and decide if this course will help them reach their anti aging goals.

Does excercising produce human growth hormone?

Question by Some Dude: Does excercising produce human growth hormone?
I heard scientists did tests with a group of guys, they took a sample of their blood measured their level of growth hormone, then had them go sprint, then took a sample of their blood and noticed like a 400% or 500% increase in growth hormone occured. But then went back to normal after an hour or an hour and 1/2. What im asking is it true your body makes growth hormone when you excercise? It uses the growth hormone to make your muscles bigger and repair them correct?

Best answer:

Answer by Bobby R
Yes, your body does make Human Growth Hormone when you exercise. However, scientists are unsure of why. HGH does not, I believe, aid in muscle repair.

How about separate competitions for atheletes on steroids, human growth hormones, etc?

Question by GREGORY T: How about separate competitions for atheletes on steroids, human growth hormones, etc?
At the Olympics we could have an "Enhanced" category and a
natural category. Same for cycling racers. Major League Baseball could benefit from this too. It could be very entertaining as a matter of fact, watching a baseball game
between a team of "enhanced" guys and a team of "natural"
players. It could turn into quite the competition don't you think?
It's futuristic, but hey, guess what - this the future! Why put it off?

Then in a couple more years we could have a race to see which ones die first from all the complications caused from all the dope, roids and other crap they put in their bodies... Yes, very entertaining but so are demolition derby's, public executions and Russian roulette tournaments.....

i heard of this product called powerFULL its a human growth hormone and used for work outs in weight lifting and was wondering is it safe

if anyone has used it please let me know what happen to you

also does it have any side affects?

Best answer:

Answer by Laurus Nobilis
Even if it were a hormone, hormones are digested orally, not integrated. In other words it would be like eating fat, not injecting hormones. Of course, if it were actually HGH, its purchase would be illegal obviously, but it's not illegal, because it's not human growth hormone.

The purported testosterone-boosting effects are probably from a combination of prohormones like tribulus (which mostly have imagined effects) and nutrients that are already found in your food.

So basically the side effects are you losing lots of money.
