Being just short means that you are short in comparison to the population at large. This is because you are carrying the genes for shortness. You acquired these genes from your family. So if you are about your mom's height or your dad's height than you are short.

Pituitary dwarfism is dwarfism due to under production of Human Growth Factor (the hormone which controls human growth. This is a disease. It is treated, if diagnosed early by replacing the missing hormone.

Dwarfism runs in my family and i'm 20 weeks pregnant?

Question by You owe me money!: Dwarfism runs in my family and i'm 20 weeks pregnant?
My husband is normal size but I'm worried about passing my genes on to my baby. Doctors will not suggest anything that's not FDA approved but I've heard that there is evidence to prove that HGH (Human Growth Hormone) if taken while pregnant can reduce the risk of dwarfism in the baby. Since my husband takes HGH for performance enhancement I've been tempted to take it as well. Any thoughts?
