Doesn't it appear that almost all of the Red Sox team is on human growth hormone? Note: I am NOT a Yankees fan

Question by cannonball: Doesn't it appear that almost all of the Red Sox team is on human growth hormone? Note: I am NOT a Yankees fan
Man, they recently came to town and i got to see them play. What a joke. Those guys show definite physical signs of human growth hormone abuse. They were about twice the size of our team. And don't give me that, "Well maybe they just eat right and lift" crap. These guys had the super huge heads, the overall round/ muscular body look, and the forearms were ridiculous. A man would have to lift around the clock for that look and those guys just don't have that kind of time. I would say 6 or 7 guys in the lineup looked ridiculous. I don't know what can be done about undetectable forms of HGH but it should be looked into.

First they should do blood test on all the players, not just a urine test. The only way you can detect HGH is thru a blood test.

Dosent it appear that all players are on HGH? We need to clean up the game. Eventually everyone is gonna lose respect for the game.

I applaud those who dont cheat.

It could be. The Red Sox are skeezy like that. I live in MA and I'm a Yankees fan because the Red Sox players are all scrubby and look like neanderthals.

  3. I would say that you should go on something other than size. David Ortiz has been that size for years dating back to when he was with the Twins or in the Mariners farm system.

  4. Why not ask Barry Bonds? (He may know...and I don't think he is a Yankee fan either!)

  5. What planet are you from and what Red Sox team did you watch? You're absolutely nuts.

  6. Honestly, all of them have been tested, this year in fact. I can tell you that guys like Varitek, Ortiz, Youkilis (sp?), Coco Crisp, and Mike Lowell are not.

I have always thought Schilling has at some point. I saw Beckett play in HS...and I truely believe he is clean. But I played college ball against Varitek, and high school ball against Lowell & Gonzalez. I can tell you with 100% certainty, they are clean.

I was a scout with a ML team for 5 years...I can tell you that most of the Dominican players, tend to be larger, and they are not all on something. I think society has gotten their heads filled with this HGH crap, and now anyone who does well, is going to be assumed to be on something. (I am not saying you personally, just in general). MLB players are physical specimens...they would not be up there, if they were not "different" than most.

Most guys, in the off season, work out around the clock. Just hitting a baseball 200 times a day, will make your arms stronger.

  8. To the guy who says Ortiz was always that size.... he wasn't even always Ortiz.

He used to be "David Arias".. but changed his name apparently, shortly after breaking into the majors.

He was drafted as a 160 lb middle infielder. That guy is more juiced than frickin' Bonds.

The last guy to take as long to become a dominant hitter as Ortiz did (From draft time to pro breakout... or from pro debut to pro breakout, take your pick)... was another reknown juicer, Sammy Sosa.

One things for sure--Big Papi needs to be tested.

  10. Is this the first MLB game you've seen? Take a look at other teams, idiot. The Red Sox kick ass and nobody on that team has abused HGH.

    You're a joke.

  12. If your job consisted of swinging a bat 200 times a day, then going and lifting weights, im sure you would look pretty big too. Have you seen other MLB teams?? the sox are small compared to some players out there

  13. Maybe if you'd quit drinking 40's and smoking weed before baseball games, then everyone would look normal.
