I've heard that "grow taller for idiots" works well. Is that true? Is there anything to do to increase my growth? I'm a female halfway through puberty, so my growth isn't completley done, but I'd like to grow another 5 inched before I'm done growing.
By the way, I'd mostly like the growth in my legs, preferablly my calfs.

Not a lot you can do with your height. It's the way it'll be just about nomatter what you do. You can help a little by drinking lots of milk, I don't know if it is a known fact, but I'm about your age, actually a little younger, don't have many tall relatives or parents, and I'm about six foot, and I drink about 4 or 5 glasses a day. I've heard that dark green vegetables help.

I've been told that the hormones in meat have been "dumbing us down" and limiting our brain capacity. I do not believe this is entirely true, although I do have my doubts about it. Also, how do the chemicals in meat affect the humans who consume it? All I know is that the artificial hormones cause irregular growth (growth spurts), but what else do they cause? What do the chemicals cause? Also, what about the chemicals and pesticides placed in vegetables and fruits?

no no. Artificial Hormones don't limit the brain capacity but the more you consume the more the effect the way your body works. Some are even known to cause malignant cancer cells. But for that to happen you would have to consume them raw and a lot of it. When you cook the meat the hormones are burned off.

so i know this junior in high school who has to give himself a shot of steroids (i think human growth hormone) every night in the leg. i could just ask him why he has to but i don't want it to end up being for an awkward reason, so my question is why does he have to do this? he still plays sports so i know its not like a ton of steroids...
he is a little below average height but isn't he too old for that to be the reason?

Is he below average height? That is the only FDA approved reason to use HGH, although it is prescribed for a variety of other reasons.

If a young teen-age boy is sleep-deprived does he have a chance of reaching the height he would be if he slept at least seven hours a night? The child is fourteen. He plays several sports, goes to school and church. Sometimes he will get up early on Saturday, go to play football. Afterward, he will eat lunch on the run, change into his baseball clothes, and play a couple of games of baseball. He survives on the hotdogs he gets at his ballgames, or the fast food he can get after his baseball, basketball, or football practices. He goes to church every Sunday morning and sometimes a couple of times during the week. He also is a freshman in high school. His dream is to be a basketball player,but,he hasn't grown a fraction of an inch in the past three years; maybe even longer than that.

it isnt a steroid, but its a performance enhancing hormone that is extremely dagerous if it is used inappropriately. if you take too much or are out of puberty youre at risk for acromegaly (do a google image search) and organ failure. dont mess with it if a doc didnt prescribe it

she's been on them for 8 yrs
as for the cost it varies as the taller you get the more of it you need per injection to get an effect.. just now hers is around £1200 for 4 weeks worth

I've known a lot of bodybuilders and weightlifters who have taken HGH and they didn't become sterile and taking steroids will only make you sterile if you take them continually over very long periods of time, e.g. 6 months to a couple years without cycling. I've taken both but I wasn't concerned about becoming sterile and have been on testosterone for over 15 years. (already have children) If you get hold of HGH go easy on it and learn how to cycle ~ on and off.

Man, they recently came to town and i got to see them play. What a joke. Those guys show definite physical signs of human growth hormone abuse. They were about twice the size of our team. And don't give me that, "Well maybe they just eat right and lift" crap. These guys had the super huge heads, the overall round/ muscular body look, and the forearms were ridiculous. A man would have to lift around the clock for that look and those guys just don't have that kind of time. I would say 6 or 7 guys in the lineup looked ridiculous. I don't know what can be done about undetectable forms of HGH but it should be looked into.

First they should do blood test on all the players, not just a urine test. The only way you can detect HGH is thru a blood test.

Dosent it appear that all players are on HGH? We need to clean up the game. Eventually everyone is gonna lose respect for the game.

I am on that as well - and the blog on the site I order from says that it will stay for 3 weeks.
Having said that - this is only a hormone, and not considered a "drug", so even if it shows in a test you can easily explain it. It should not be anything anyone will be concerned about during a drug test.

Although pharmaceutically made human growth hormone (a complicated hormone made by joining about 190 amino acids) has been shown in certain studies to have short term anti-aging potential, long term consequences are unclear. A major side effect of human growth hormone excess is a condition called acromegaly. There is no guarantee that real pharmaceutical human growth hormone extends life span. In fact, in some animal studies, reducing the release of growth hormone extends life span.
Additional side effects of human growth hormone are fluid retention and increased blood sugar. The human growth hormone side effect of fluid retention can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome and hypertension. Some people also have body and joint aches. Excessive sweating is another reported human growth hormone side effect.
A side effect of human growth hormone use in children is associated with a higher risk of cancer in later years.
Another potential human growth hormone side effect is an association of high insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1)-concentrations and increased risk of prostate, lung, colon and breast cancer as well as a possible decrease of insulin sensitivity.
