If one were to take human growth hormone, could this help them grow
taller?
Question by cowboys fan: If one were to take human growth hormone, could this help them grow taller? I was wondering, just out of curiosity, if that would work.
Best answer:
Answer by Nicky I doubt it, unless something was specifically made for something like that to occur.
Judy is correct. I take pictures of bones for a living. Once the growth plates close (about 16-17 for females, 18-22 for males) you have stopped growing.
Growth hormone has many other effects on the body: Increases the retention of calcium Strengthens and increases the mineralization of bones Increases the muscle mass Promotes ipolysis Increases synthesis of proteins Stimulating the growth of all internal organs Plays a role in fuel homeostasis Reduces liver uptake of glucose Contributes to the maintenance and function of pancreas Stimulates and enforces the immune system Helps grow taller and increase our height
Now it is possible to grow taller at any age with Growth-FlexV® Pro System. It can help you to get the height you always wanted by stimulating your own growth hormone release, without any artificial pills or anything illegal. The Growth-FlexV Pro System works fast
Yes. Judy and Radgal are correct. My mid son is currently on HGH, the first thing they did was take an x-ray of his left hand/wrist to determine his bone age (the bigger the gap, the younger the age; the smaller the gap, the older the age) and when they stop growing the growth plates are fused together. Once his bone age was determined, they did a blood test to determine if his pituitary gland was producing growth hormone as it should, when they found out it was not they did a MRI of his brain and found out he had an underdeveloped pituitary gland. Now he has to take an injection of HGH every day, he's only 7.
If one is still young enough, yes it will help them to grow taller.
ReplyDeleteAfter the growth plates in the bones have closed, no amount of human growth hormone will affect a person's height.
